Up First: The Lexus and the Olive Tree

The first book I'm reading is The Lexus and the Olive Tree by Thomas Friedman.  From what I can tell so far it will be about globalization, and the economic and cultural impact this system is having on the world.  Friedman seems to be a pretty popular author, so if anyone has read this book already I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Get ready for a great ride Brian! Studying, reading and being part of a community of learners is among one of life's greatest gifts!
I read "The world is flat" from Thomas Friedman and found myself nodding throughout it!
I have found that the more I read beforehand the more I get out of the class.
Another tip is that since I will probably only read x book once, I mark it up considerably, taking notes in the margins (I tend to skim the pages afterwards and my eyes focus on what I've written) and finally I write my conclusions on the front and back inner cover! Just a few things I 've learned from my studies thus far!
Another tip I picked up and am religiously implementing is that every paper written for class relates directly to my work and without fail is directly applied in what I am doing.. the Hebrew view of learning consists of both knowledge and practice.
We'll keep in touch Brian! See you at your Mom's house no doubt over Thanksgiving break.
