Quito Day 3 Update

Our group worked hard today on behalf of the global Church! What a privilege it has been to gather with some of the most amazing Christian urban thinkers in the world. The papers and presentations that were shared over the past couple of days will be published in a book that will be released in the spring (including mine). The presentations were awesome, so I know the book is going to be a great resource for churches and Christian organizations around the world

We are working on a statement and press release that will go out this week about our group's outcomes from The Gospel and the Future of Cities Summit and our advocacy work all week at Habitat III. We are praying that the work that we put together will be a prophetic call to God's global church to engage with the complexities associated with rapid urbanization. As followers of Christ, we  have a biblical mandate to engage with the people in our world who are marginalized by the complexities of the urban environment.

Now, the real work begins. Our group of Christian leaders will be praying, reflecting, and participating in shaping the future of global cities for the next twenty years at Habitat III. We need prayer for energy and God-ordained conversations with the more than 45,000 leaders from across the planet who have gathered here in Quito. Please keep those prayers coming our way! Thanks!
