Our team of four people from North Way is enjoying our time in San Salvador getting to know Mission to El Salvador, an amazing ministry that is led by Jon and Danielle Snyder. We're really just in the country for a couple full days to get to know them a little bit. Yesterday they prepared a full day for us. Here's our team starting out the day:
We toured the facilities at MTES and met with program directors and staff. They're making a tremendous difference in this city, and the facilities are utilized for many different purposes that serve to empower people in San Salvador.
Last night we partnered with volunteers from a local church to prepare meals to hand out as we visited people in the streets in different parts of San Salvador at night. It was a powerful experience, and inspiring to see the relationships that MTES has built up with so many people over the years. They're truly shining the light of Christ where ever they go.
Today we'll be spending time with people from two of the MTES programs, the Lighthouse and New Dawn. We'll be learning more about what God is doing here, and searching for ways that North Way can partner in strategic ways in the future. We're hoping to send many short term teams to participate in God's redemptive mission here, and we're already discovering other ways that North Way can lock arms with MTES. Looking forward to another day of learning and service here in El Salvador.
